This is my spot number 1.000 on AG so i've decided that it should be a special one.
It was July of 2019 and I was in a trip with a few friends for some carspotting in London. We were taking some photos of a gorgeous blue F12 in Mayfair when another carspotter (i don't know who you are but thanks) approached us and told us that there was a Zonda down the street. We quickly left the F12 and went down the street to see it. Not only seeing a Pagani with a lot of time to take pictures and no one around you is special, but also this concrete unit is quite special.
In 1991 Horacio Pagani decided to found his own car company, Pagani Modena Desing, and just a year later began the tests of his first car, the Zonda C12. Initially the name of the car was intended to be Fangio F1 in honor of the famous F1 driver who had helped him start at Lamborghini, but this idea was rejected after his death in 1995.
The Zonda C12 was launched in 1999 with a 6.0L V12 from Mercedes-Benz and "just" 454 CV, it also had a lightweight chassis of carbon fiber that allowed the Zonda to do the 0-100 KM/H in 4s, maybe it doesn't sound impressive with the standards of today but in 1999 it was really awesome.
Before Pagani introduce the C12 S, only 5 C12 were manufactured. One of them was used for safety test and was recently presented for the 20th of the Zonda after a full restoration. Another unit became the Zonda "La Nonna" which was used for testing the different versions of the Zonda and currently has more than 1.000.000 KM.
This leaves us with only three units sold to customers of which this is the last unit manufactured and sold of the original Zonda C12. To make it more special, this unit has some improvements such as the 7.3L of the C12 S as well as some other parts of the C12 S and F.
PD: also a few meters away there was a beatifull white 812, we met shmee with the g63 and we saw Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG.
