15/02/2025 - Great car but undoubtedly my worst experience since spotting. I knew about a very irritable Ferrari owner in Padova, who owned a Scaglietti and often got mad at spotters. Last Saturday, I was spotting in Padova with my friend @Dado_spotter when this 599 approached. We obviously started taking photos of it, and as soon as the car was close to us it rapidly steered in our direction, slightly missing me and the blue GT3 and almost hitting my friend with the car’s front (photo n.3 before disaster). We quickly moved out of the way as we thought that the car wanted to park there, but instead the guy inside rolled down the window and told us in a very rude way not to take photos because of the license plate, before driving away. We were just speechless. Absolute madness. We then found it parked not too far away. Getting such a car just to go ballistic when spotter, alright… Dado_spotter later confirmed it’s the same guy of the Scaglietti. Plate covered and sent to staff

Crazy experience, but still good to take photos of it when it was parked after ;). Privacy with license plates will be always questionable for owners..

@Kwark we were lucky to find it parked as after the experience I couldn’t get a rear photo. When we found it parked, we surely weren’t missing a car like this because of a crazy guy, also because it’s totally legal to spot it in public space and he’d be the one in the wrong for acting like this…

What a complete idiot, can't be a car guy then, probably has some shady activities. Almost trying to run you down is unforgivable. I would have not covered his plate and face personally. Glad he didn't hit you or the GT3 (which is by the way, the much nicer car).

Next time you see his car you could take a video and if he acts out of the law and tries to hit you again, you could report him. You could have also left a not in his window when you found it parked about that if this happens again, you'll report him.

@ST22HTV I covered the face and the plate just to avoid any major problem but yes, legally I wasn’t required to. I prefer to avoid any discussion/drama but I totally agree with everything you said

Beautiful example! Mostly these guys are criminals who earned their money on a wrong way or they are not supossed to be at that place as you know what I mean.

@yannick-m. usually it’s the second one, happened to me a few times in Padova but they just ask you not to photograph the car. This guy was mad about the license plate

Hello, Filippo. Honestly, you should of placed a call to your local law enforcement agency. Using his car as a weapon was indeed against the law. What if he hit the accelerator pedal instead of feathering the brake pad. Anyways brother be safe out there this weekend. I wont even place a comment on his car. Talk with you very soon. @Dalzzz
